Calacatta black vein is a brilliant white marble with black veins quarried in Carrara, on the Apuan Alps. Differently from the classic white Calacatta marble which has a white background and light gray veins, Calacatta black vein is characterized by veins of an intense black color. The final result of this elegant white marble with black veins is a sort of candid white surface stained by some cuttlefish ink. The thick black veins of Calacatta black vein, in fact, spread over the marble surface as cracks and create spectacular drawings, a true work of art created by nature.
